Wordless Wednesday – Hands

I sat down to write a post about the final acres of wheat being cut today in Oklahoma; however, I decided to wait and will do a lengthy one later. I have a couple of really good pictures I wanted to share and since it’s “Wordless Wednesday”, I thought this was the perfect time.

#2 Post of 2012 highlights “Small Town” Caring!

When I started looking for this post, I could have swore Marcy’s fundraiser was this past fall. Silly me…the time goes way too fast! It was held in March. I was overwhelmed by the number of views this post received – but not really. Living in small town USA and being fortunate enough to experience neighborly caring has been something I will NEVER regret. You can keep the big city life and all that goes with it! As for me…my heart’s in the country and small town living. Read “When Community Comes Together” and you’ll understand where I’m coming from.  On a side note, Marcy is doing VERY well! Surgeries have revealed the cancer is gone and she’s going to continue living life to the fullest! PRAISE GOD! It’s New Year’s Eve. Our plans are to be home (babysitting my two favorite little girls) where it’s warm and safe. 🙂 For all of you who are heading out to bring in 2013 with a bang…BE CAREFUL! We’ve already seen what a “small” wreck can do to a person’s way of thinking. Have fun and here’s to 2013! New trials, new roads to travel, new fields to enter and new memories to create!

Thankful Thanksgiving Thursday: FAMILY!

An Update on the Wreck

Taylor inside the truck looking for Jim’s glasses.

Everything about this accident could have and should have been so much worse than it was! It’s been a little more than three days ago that I received a call from Jim’s phone which wasn’t really Jim. Instead of hearing Jim’s voice, I heard the voice of a stranger telling me he was with Jim and they were taking him to the hospital.

This is the update that I’m sure many of you who follow my blog are waiting for.

“When You Only Got 100 Years to Live”

“15 there’s still time for you
Time to buy and time to lose
15, there’s never a wish better than this
When you only got 100 years to live”

Cowboy Church

Today began by attending “Cowboy Church” held at a local horse ranch. Thank you, Dave and Dolly, for organizing this “alternative” Sunday worship which brought us together in a humble setting – a horse barn.

The Worst Day.

The flag I immediately hung outside my front door. You can tell it was there quite a long time – ragged and bleached.

The day began like any other and ended with confusion, fear and…a sense of being united.

9/11/01 will forever be a memory in my brain.  A day in which the events will never be questioned by what I was doing and where I was at.

A Colorado Miracle

With all the evil that is involved in this story, it’s so good to see God IS in control!

Just Another Day in the Zeorian Camp

I’m almost embarrassed to sit here tonight and say again that NOTHING has gone on in this camp. One more day of staring at each other and wondering what we could do next. Its days like this you wish there was a little more to do than that! We’ve now completed our 12th day of not being in the field. Our farmer has completed the dry land wheat. He wants us to cut the irrigated because he has a “stripper” head and doesn’t want that much straw left on the field. The Deerfield stop is not going to be one to write home about! Ah…but look at all this great family time! I’ve learned a long time ago that no two summers are EVER the same and weather is not reliable…EVER!

THE day to Honor Mom!

One day? I guess one is better than none 🙂

Because I don’t have any of my chillun’s to do anything with, or make me breakfast in bed or even pick a dandelion, I thought I’d sit down here and share with you a few thoughts…and my flowers.
