Vacation’s Over – On the Road Again!

Our final night with the Graham’s a year ago.

Just a brief note to update you on our whereabouts. Still in Lusk…but not for long!

We’ve enjoyed our time with the Graham family and we’ll hate to have to say goodbye to everyone. However, it’s time to hit the highway once again and make our way north to Jordan – the final stretch of our 2,100 mile move. Taylor and Callie became part of the Graham family a week ago to the day.

Before we could leave the Graham house last year, we had to scratch our lottery cards (which John had purchased) to see if we were winners.  None of them were.

We’ve certainly had a great time! We’ve laughed to the point of tears and have enjoyed being together. As I’ve mentioned so many times already, THIS is the best part of the summer wheat harvest. I don’t know of any other industry that would allow the many wonderful relationships that are built from Texas to the Canadian border. The worst part of this is having to tell your friends (who become more like family) goodbye. Today will be one of those days. The tears will flow and our hearts will hurt but it’s just as my brother, Matt, has reminded me in the past:  “Don’t cry because it’s over. Smile because it happened” – Dr. Seuss

I have no pictures and I’m not sure when I’ll be able to update again. We should be in Jordan either tonight or tomorrow morning, for sure.  To make this worth your while, I will share with you another one of Callie’s jam sessions:
